The ISH KSR Sport Festival 2026 continued with an exciting Badminton Tournament organised by Kelab Sukan dan Rekreasi Ipoh Specialist Hospital (KSR ISH) on 23 June 2026.
The tournament was held from 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. at Ace Space Sport Centre, Pusat Komersial Lang Jaya. Participants representing all five ISH sports houses gathered for a day of competitive matches, teamwork and sporting spirit.
Before the tournament began, the KSR ISH committee conducted a briefing to explain the competition rules, match arrangements and scoring system. The tournament was played using a round-robin format, giving every sports house the opportunity to compete against one another.
The competition was divided into three categories:
Points were awarded based on the overall results of each sports house encounter. A sports house that achieved three match wins during an encounter received one tournament point.
The round-robin format provided a fair and competitive platform for every team to demonstrate their skills and determination. From powerful smashes and quick rallies to impressive teamwork on the court, the tournament delivered an enjoyable and energetic atmosphere throughout the day.
Despite the competitive nature of the matches, all participants displayed excellent sportsmanship, mutual respect and strong team spirit. Supporters also played an important role by cheering for their respective sports houses and creating a lively atmosphere at the venue.
In addition to tournament points, sports house members who attended the event and scanned the official attendance QR code were awarded participation points. These points will be accumulated and added to their respective sports house’s overall score for the ISH KSR Sport Festival 2026.
After a full day of exciting matches, Purple Ravens emerged as the tournament champion with an impressive total of 10 points. Red Phoenix secured second place with seven points, while Gold Dragon finished in third place with five points.
Champion – Purple Ravens: 10 points
Silver – Red Phoenix: 7 points
Bronze – Gold Dragon: 5 points
Fourth Place – Green Antlers: 3 points
Fifth Place – Blue Wolves: 3 points
The tournament concluded successfully in a fun, friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. Beyond the competition, the event provided an opportunity for ISH staff to build stronger relationships, improve teamwork and promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
